Jackie Small
Psychotherapist
Jackie Small is a solution-focused psychotherapist. She follows a goal-directed approach when working with her clients. It is in her ability to work collaboratively with her clients that she is able to assist them in making real movement and change in their lives. Jackie believes in focusing on the present and future in her work, drawing upon past experiences when necessary.
Nothing fulfills Jackie more in her work with clients than watching them transition and grow into the people they want to be. She sees herself as a guide and witness to her clients' journey. Walking alongside a person as they pave their way through life's challenges is a "privilege" for Jackie.
Currently, Jackie is working with adults, teens and families. She has specialized training and experience in treating mood disorders. Prior to joining Family Therapy Associates in May 2015, Jackie worked with families affected by intimate partner violence. Jackie completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at The University of Central Florida in 1999 and went on to earn a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Manhattan College in 2004. In addition, she is also a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC).
